The past 3 years the crew has rented a cabin in Gatlinburg for New Years. This year it was me, Marshall, Jordan, John, Meghan, Nathan, Cindy, Josh C, Josh F, Dawn, Kaybe, Bud, Gavin, Maria, and Chris. We always spend 3 nights and 4 days at the cabin. The first night everyone except for Meghan, Nathan, Gavin, Maria, and Dawn were able to come. We got to the cabin, ate, and sat around and caught up with each other. The next night was New Year's Eve. Everyone else came up that day. We had a fun time playing games and hanging out.
Once Dawn got there, she brought out wigs that she has collected over the years. We all got our wigs and make up on for some pictures. Then we poured our champagne and got ready for the new year.

The next day all the boys woke up at 6am to go on a hiking and fishing trip. Last year, Bud started the fishing trip and fish fry tradition. We have a fish fry our last night at the cabin. Last year, Nate was the only one that caught a fish. This year Josh Craig was the only one to catch a fish. Luckily Bud always brings extra fish just in case. So we had catfish, hush puppies, and fried corn on the cob. It was delicious and a great way to end the trip! Matt, Wendi, and Judah also came to visit us for a little bit on our last there.

I love being able to get together with these guys every year for our annual trip. It is nice being able to spend time with each other and bring in the new year with people you love. I am looking forward to next year!
